The following table gives an overview of selected criminal reports. However, these are not all of the criminal reports filed by the Montpelier Police Department. The crimes listed below are statistics based upon the FBI's UCR guidelines. The FBI defines violent crimes as offenses that involve murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault.
